Job summary

The Salvation Army in Fayetteville, NC is seeking a worker to manage the Angel Tree Program, recruit and coordinate volunteers, and prepare records for the Christmas program.

The role involves lifting and stacking donations, warehouse upkeep, and facilitating angel tree pickups, with a 40-hour week seasonal schedule Monday to Friday with some Saturdays.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred, but not required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language.
• Ability to perform strenuous, heavy work involving the lifting and carrying of heavy objects.
• Ability to perform continuous walking, stooping, standing, and some climbing.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and stacks donations in the warehouse.
• Distributes donations to their proper place as instructed in the warehouse.
• Clean and service assigned areas in the Christmas Center.
• Pick up trash, empty garbage container, and remove all trash to area for disposal.
• Maintains good relationship with donors to promote a favorable image of The Salvation Army.
• Unloads the truck at the Christmas warehouse.
• Assist with angel tree pick-ups from the drop-off locations.
• Perform other related duties incidental to work described herein.
• Assists in cleaning and maintaining the Christmas warehouse and loading dock area.
• Assists in working in all areas of the Christmas warehouse operations as needed.
• Performs special projects as needed.
• Performs other related work as required.
