Job summary

The UW Medical Center-Northwest Operating Rooms have an outstanding opportunity for a Anesthesia Technician. Prepare, operate, and maintain anesthesia and laboratory equipment such as physiological monitors and blood gas analyzers.

Assist medical staff with technical problems related to anesthesia and support delivery of anesthesia under the guidance of the anesthesia provider for complex procedures. Strong candidates will have current ASATT certification as an Anesthesia Technician and two

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred for complex surgeries.
• ASATT certification strongly desired; trauma experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare room with instruments, supplies and equipment for each Anesthesia procedure.
• Assist in positioning, prepping, and draping patients for procedures and maintain room readiness.
• Clean rooms between cases, restock supplies and organize for end-of-case cleanup.
