Job summary

METROHEALTH MEDICAL CENTER seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia care team across Columbus facilities. You will assist with equipment handling, preparation, calibration, and routine cleaning of anesthesia systems, ensuring efficient turnover between cases.

The role requires strong communication, knowledge of medical terminology, and ability to work with diverse teams. Biweekly hours are 80, with Mon-Fri shifts and occasional weekends; responsibilities include patient transport

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in perioperative protocols or related field.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Reliable transportation to travel to facilities as needed.
• Ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with equipment and supplies during anesthesia.
• Maintain and calibrate anesthesia equipment; set up and clean.
• Assist with OR cleanup and setup for turnover between cases.
• Take inventory and maintain anesthesia cart supplies across locations.
• Assist with patient transport and equipment storage return.
• Follow MetroHealth System policies and uphold mission and values.
