Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support OR and related areas with equipment and supplies. You will assist anesthesia staff, prepare patients, and troubleshoot devices across main OR, labs, and procedural suites.

Required are a high school diploma, BLS, and prior anesthesia tech experience. The role emphasizes sterile technique, teamwork, and rapid response in a high‑stakes pediatric environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; an associates degree is preferred.
• BLS certification is required; ASATT certification is preferred.
• Prior anesthesia tech experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of sterile technique and aseptic practices is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult OR schedule to determine supply and equipment needs.
• Prepare and support anesthesia-related equipment and supplies across ORs and labs.
• Maintain and service anesthesia machines and related equipment.
• Assist anesthesia clinicians with patient preparation for procedures.
• Assist with moving equipment to ensure room turnover and readiness.
• Troubleshoot equipment with Biomedical Engineering when needed.
• Adhere to service principles focused on innovation, integrity and teamwork.
