Job summary

Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL seeks an Anesthesiology Technologist to support anesthesia teams by preparing and disinfecting reusable equipment, and ensuring airway supplies are stocked. You will assist in emergencies, follow JACHO/IDPH regulations, train new staff, and maintain inventories across critical areas.

The role requires knowledge of anesthesia terminology, adherence to hospital policies, and the ability to maintain cleanliness of equipment and work areas throughout OR,

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED or equivalent training.
Knowledge of anesthesia terminology and supplies.
Ability to respond to emergency requests from anesthesia staff.
Experience maintaining inventory and stocking operating areas.

Responsibilities

Respect JACHO and IDPH regulations as they apply to anesthesia.
Respond to emergencies and supply requests from anesthesia staff promptly.
Prepare anesthesia sites and equipment for cases and procedures.
Disinfect and maintain cleanliness of airway equipment and Pyxis carts.
Train and orient new hires and assist in turnover of cases.
Monitor inventory levels and replenish OB, labor and delivery rooms, and related sites.
