Job Summary

Works alongside anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists to prepare patients for anesthesia and surgery, ensuring proper care and maintenance of equipment. Responsible for collecting intraoperative shed blood for auto-transfusion.

Essential Functions

1. Cleans, sterilizes, and sets up all types of anesthesia equipment.
2. Assists anesthesia providers with monitoring, patient transport, positioning, insertion of invasive lines, and airway management.
3. Prepares anesthesia carts and machines with supplies to facilitate room turnover.
4. Ensures anesthesia equipment is functioning properly and is correctly positioned.

Qualifications

Education

Associate's Degree in a related field required.

Experience

1-2 years of experience working as an Anesthesia Tech required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Familiarity with anesthesia equipment and basic patient care principles.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling.
• Lifting up to 35 lbs with assistance.
• Other physical activities as detailed in the original description.

Additional Details

Work onsite at 80 Blossom Street as a per diem employee with a rotating shift schedule. The role is classified as entry level, part-time in the healthcare provider industry.
