Shriners Children’s is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the operating room by setting up and troubleshooting anesthesia machines and monitors, and assisting the Anesthesiologist. The role includes maintaining carts, stocking medications, and ensuring a clean, organized anesthesia work area.
Responsibilities include room turnover, stocking cabinets, managing supplies, transporting specimens to the lab, and ensuring all equipment is ready for use.

The Anesthesia technician is responsible for the orderly and efficient set-up, trouble shooting, and maintenance of all anesthesia machines, monitors, carts, general equipment (e.g. laryngoscopes), specialized equipment (fiberoptic bronchoscopes and video system) malignant hyperthermia cart and difficult intubation cart. The anesthesia technician is responsible for placing the anesthesia machines in operational status, transports patients as necessary; assists Anesthesiologist in duties outside OR and maintains neat, clean, orderly and systematic anesthesia work room.
Compensation is determined based on years of relevant experience and departmental equity.
