Responsibilities

• Prepares anesthetizing locations by setting up, calibrating, and maintaining monitoring devices and anesthesia equipment for scheduled procedures.
• Assists anesthesia providers with aseptic or sterile techniques during procedures, including airway management and IV/arterial line placement.
• Monitors and reports abnormal changes in patient vital signs or physical appearance to anesthesia providers.
• Obtains and stocks anesthesia supplies in operating rooms and other areas to ensure readiness.
• Assists with laboratory tests and results, including ABGs and ACTs, and other point-of-care tests.
• Prepares, obtains, and delivers blood products and pharmaceuticals as requested by the anesthesia team.
• Provides guidance to other technicians and team members as needed.
• Assists with patient transport, positioning, and application of monitors under supervision.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and coordinates with repair departments for timely resolution.
• Maintains regular attendance and complies with policies and standards.
