Job summary

Grandview Medical Center - Birmingham, AL seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining anesthesia supplies across ORs and procedural areas.

The role operates under anesthesiologists and CRNAs to ensure readiness, safety, and efficient workflow, including troubleshooting equipment and assisting with patient transport and monitor setup.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred
• Biology/Physiology/Anatomy coursework preferred
• 0-2 years in hospital/surgical setting preferred
• 1-2 years LVN experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Prepares anesthetizing locations and maintains equipment.
• Assists anesthesia providers with sterile techniques during procedures.
• Monitors and reports abnormal patient changes to anesthesia providers.
• Obtains and stocks anesthesia supplies across operating rooms and suites.
• Assists with ABGs, ACTs, and point-of-care tests.
• Prepares and delivers blood products and pharmaceuticals as requested.
• Provides guidance to other technicians and team members.
• Assists with patient transport and monitor application.
• Troubleshoots equipment malfunctions and coordinates repairs.
