Job summary

The MetroHealth System is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to assist the anesthesia care team with equipment setup, calibration, cleaning, and routine repairs. You will help maintain carts and supplies across MetroHealth facilities and support patient transport and OR turnover to ensure smooth surgical flow.

Responsibilities include maintaining anesthesia equipment per policy and collaborating with perioperative staff to deliver high-quality patient care in a multi-hospital system.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with perioperative protocols or clinical sanitation preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology is essential.
• Reliable transportation to travel to MetroHealth facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with equipment setup and use during anesthesia administration.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment: setup, calibration, cleaning, and minor repairs.
• Participate in OR cleanup and setup to support turnover between cases.
• Take inventory and maintain anesthesia carts across locations.
• Assist patient transport and return of equipment to storage after use.
