Job summary

MetroHealth Medical Center in Ohio seeks an Anesthesia Technician to assist the anesthesia care team with equipment handling, setup and supply management during procedures. You will help maintain anesthesia machines, calibrate and clean devices, and support rapid turnover between cases.

You will also manage inventory for anesthesia carts, help transport patients and return gear to storage, ensuring compliance with system policies and safety standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in perioperative protocols, sterilization, or clinical sanitation.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Reliable transportation to travel to facilities as needed.
• Ability to interact with diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and using equipment and supplies during anesthesia.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment, including setup, calibration, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Assist with OR cleanup and setup for efficient turnover between cases.
• Take inventory and maintain anesthesia cart supplies across locations.
• Assist with patient transport and return of equipment to storage after use.
• Perform routine duties per MetroHealth policies.
