Job summary

MetroHealth System seeks an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesia care providers by preparing and maintaining anesthesia equipment and supplies. The role includes handling OR setup, turnover between cases, and inventory management across MetroHealth facilities.

Responsibilities extend to assisting with patient transport and returning equipment to storage after procedures, while upholding MetroHealth’s mission and standards of service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in perioperative protocols (sterile technique and field sanitation).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesia care provider with acquiring, preparing and using equipment during anesthesia administration.
• Maintain anesthesia equipment including setup, calibration, cleaning and minor repairs.
• Participate in OR cleanup and setup to ensure efficient turnover between cases.
• Take inventory and maintain anesthesia cart supplies across locations.
• Assist with patient transport and return of equipment to storage after use.
