Qualifications

• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment, monitors, and supplies used in surgical/procedural settings.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with the anesthesia care team.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, multitask, and adapt to changing circumstances.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology, pharmacology, and patient monitoring techniques.
• Proficiency in using computerized medical record systems.
• Physical stamina to lift/move heavy equipment and assist in patient positioning.

Responsibilities

• Ensure anesthesia carts are stocked and machines in rooms before and between procedures.
• Check and replace anesthesia gas tanks as needed.
• Retrieve anticipated anesthesia supplies for the clinician administering anesthesia.
• Prepare complex equipment and supplies for hemodynamic monitoring.
• Ensure monitoring equipment and supplies are ready and functional.
• Inspect anesthesia machines daily and verify gas connections and cylinders.
