Job summary

Mass General Brigham's Newton-Wellesley Hospital is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in setup, care and maintenance of anesthesia equipment, and contribute to equipment testing and evaluation.

Responsibilities include assisting with clinical activities not involving direct patient care or meds, maintaining equipment, ordering supplies, coordinating with Biomedical Engineering for maintenance, and ensuring compliance with standards.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Previous anesthesia technician experience preferred.
• Must be self-directed and work well independently.
• Adheres to hospital policies/procedures relative to vendors, evaluation of equipment, supplies, etc.

Responsibilities

• Provides general and specific assistance to the anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in clinical activities that do not involve direct patient care or med handling.
• Cleans, cares for, and maintains all anesthesia equipment to ensure proper functioning.
• Inventories and orders supplies from purchasing, storeroom, and pharmacy as needed.
• Collaborates with Purchasing and Biomedical Engineering for preventive maintenance, service scheduling, and repairs.
