Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, Inc. is seeking an Anesthesia Support Technician to assist anesthesiologists across OR settings.

You will prepare and maintain anesthesia machines, assemble equipment for invasive monitoring, and ensure sterile processing and available supplies to support patient care. The role also involves stocking, rounds with the anesthesia team, and communicating needs to the supervisor and health care staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 1 year related experience; 1 year in Surgical Service preferred.
• Strong prioritization and communication skills; ability to protect patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and maintains anesthesia machines and equipment in Operating Room (OR).
• Assembles transducer lines and equipment for invasive pressure monitoring as needed.
• Cleans and decontaminates anesthesia machine, equipment and supplies after each procedure.
• Gathers and assembles supplies for IV solutions and warming devices as needed.
• Stocks anesthesia machines, drugs, trays, materials, supplies, and gases.
• Provides support during the shift to assist anesthesiologists and nursing staff.
• Communicates with supervisor, physicians and health care team members.
• Ensures availability and proper processing of reusable items; manages inventory.
