Job summary

Tennova Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team in preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining supplies. This role works under supervision to ensure safe, efficient patient care across procedures requiring anesthesia.

Responsibilities include setting up monitoring devices, assisting with sterile techniques, stocking supplies, and coordinating with providers.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program preferred.
• Biology, Physiology or Anatomy coursework preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician preferred.
• 1-2 years of LVN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and maintain anesthesia equipment and monitors for procedures.
• Assist with aseptic techniques during invasive and non-invasive procedures.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to anesthesia providers.
• Stock anesthesia supplies in operating rooms and other areas to ensure readiness.
• Support laboratory tests such as ABGs and ACTs when required.
• Prepare and deliver blood products and medications as requested.
• Provide guidance to other technicians and team members as needed.
• Assist with patient transport, positioning, and monitor application.
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and coordinate repairs.
• Maintain readiness and comply with policies and standards.
