Job summary

The Tennova Healthcare- Turkey Creek Medical Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking an Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia team by preparing equipment, assisting with procedures, and maintaining supplies.

You will work under anesthesiologists and CRNAs to ensure readiness, proper sterile technique, and smooth operation across all procedures and patient populations in a fast-paced surgical setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician program or related coursework is preferred.
• Biology/Physiology/Anatomy coursework is preferred to support clinical tasks.
• 0-2 years of experience as an Anesthesia Technician in hospital or surgical settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare anesthetizing locations by setting up and calibrating monitoring devices and anesthesia equipment.
• Assist anesthesia providers with sterile techniques during procedures and airway management.
• Monitor vital signs and report abnormalities to anesthesia providers.
• Obtain and stock anesthesia supplies across ORs and other procedural areas.
• Support ABG, ACTs and other point-of-care tests as directed.
