Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor is seeking an Anesthesiology Technician to assist anesthesiologists with anesthesia administration and monitoring across various settings. You will support surgical and procedural cases by preparing and maintaining patient equipment and anesthesia delivery systems before, during, and after care.

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED that meets the education requirement from the College of American Pathologists for point of care lab testing.
• At least 1 year Anesthesia Technician experience at Michigan Medicine
• BLS certification
• Physical Requirements: ability to lift 50lbs, push/pull 60+ lbs, and continuous walking
• Science based coursework and healthcare environment experience could be desirable

Mansioni

• Set up anesthesia equipment and supplies for arterial/central lines and epidural catheters, and assist with airway devices and transesophageal echo monitoring.
• Obtain blood samples and perform QC checks on testing devices; assist in transporting critically ill patients to and from the operating room.
• Provide instruction and advice to anesthesia personnel on new equipment and devices; assist with induction of anesthesia as needed.
• Stock anesthesia carts and ensure equipment is present and functioning; participate in shift handoffs and off-hours call duties.
