Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Prepares and sets up equipment for anesthesia procedures.
• Assists anesthetist with monitoring, induction and intubation of patients.
• Cleans and sterilizes anesthesia instruments and equipment.
• Orders anesthesia supplies and equipment, ensures well-stocked work areas.
• Maintains department equipment and schedules repairs as needed.
• Assists in placing intravenous lines and invasive monitoring devices as required.
• May transport and monitor patients to the operating room.
• Ensures compliance with HIPAA, OSHA and infection-control policies.
