The University of Miami is seeking a Manager, Anesthesia to oversee daily operations of the Anesthesia Technology Department in the UHealth system. You will ensure 24-hour coverage, equipment management, and adherence to ASATT standards while coordinating with medical staff.

Responsibilities include staff scheduling, recruitment, onboarding, quality controls on anesthesia machines, and alignment of departmental goals with institutional policies and budgets.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in a relevant field.
• Certification in relevant specialty or field.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of business and management principles; ability to direct, manage, implement and evaluate department operations.

Responsabilités

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the anesthesia technology department, under the direction of an anesthesia care provider.
• Administer staff operational schedules to provide 24-hour coverage for the department.
• Ensure efficient and cost-effective performance in accordance with department budgets and objectives.
• Participate in staff recruitment and retention of personnel.
• Oversee orientation and onboarding of new hires, support continuing education, and validate competencies.
• Maintain and organize the anesthesia environment, equipment, and supplies to facilitate department functions.
• Perform quality controls with anesthesia machines, troubleshoot, test, and diagnose device alarms.
• Maintain effective communication with the medical staff, directors, and leaders across departments.
• Establish and assess internal controls within the unit and compliance with policies.
• Ensure employees are trained on controls and university policies.
