The University of Maryland Faculty Physicians is seeking a skilled leader for the anesthesiology department operations. This role involves overseeing business development for clinical programs and collaborating with hospital leadership to manage operational performance.
The ideal candidate will hold a Master's degree in Health Service Administration or related fields, with a minimum of five years' experience in an academic medical center. This position offers a comprehensive total rewards package supporting employee health and career.
In partnership with the Chairman Department of Anesthesiology and physician division chiefs, oversees, directs and manages anesthesiology operations and business development for clinical programs in coordination with the hospital service line directors and the Senior Administrator of the Department of Anesthesiology. Responsible for overall direction, coordination, control and completion of multiple and specific projects from original concept through implementation, while ensuring consistency with departmental strategy, commitment, and goals.

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
