Job summary

Faculty Physicians Inc. is seeking an experienced administrator to coordinate and direct administrative support for the office. The role includes supervising clerical staff, ensuring policy compliance, and maintaining reports for daily operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Oversees and creates daily office operations to ensure and create efficient productive operation.
  • Assists in developing and implementing short- and long-term work plans and objectives for clerical functions.
  • Assists in understanding/implementing clinic policies and procedures.
  • Develops guidelines for prioritizing work activities, evaluating effectiveness, and modifying activities as necessary.
  • Helps establish deadlines for work assignment and completion.
  • Identifies, analyzes, and resolves work problems in a timely manner to ensure that issues do not escalate and/or disrupt office operation.
  • Assists in the recruiting, hiring, orientation, development, and evaluation of clerical staff.
  • Oversees office payroll and leave records to insure compliance with all policies and procedures and compliance with state and federal guidelines.
  • Oversees and approves office supply inventory to eliminate waste, ensures mail is opened and processed; offices opened/closed according to procedures.

Description

Coordinates and directs administrative support for the office. May support management with advanced administrative support. Performs a variety of administrative/supervisory duties, such as assigning work to other clerical employees, interpreting policies, and maintaining reports to ensure the smooth daily operations of the office. Requires a thorough working knowledge of company policies and practices. Exhibits professionalism and trustworthiness, and handle confidential and sensitive information; and other duties as assigned.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
  • Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university
  • Three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook) is a must. Working knowledge of internet research tools

Total Rewards

The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of University of Maryland’s Faculty Physician’s Inc. salary range for this position. Some candidates will not be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, internal equity, responsibility factor and span of control, education/training and other qualifications.
