Job summary

IVIRMA Global is seeking an Andrology Laboratory Technician to follow procedures for specimen handling and processing, report patient test results, and maintain records for infertility assessment and management. The role covers Andrology and Endocrine services per the Laboratory Procedure Manual.

The position is 30–40 hours/week through year-end with potential extension; schedule varies from 7:00–7:30 AM to 4:00–5:00 PM, and the office closes early on Wednesdays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a chemical, biological, clinical laboratory science or related – required
• Studies level: University Education (Bachelor's Degree)
• Studies area: Chemical/Biological/Clinical Laboratory Science or other related field

Responsibilities

• Maintains accurate and current records of patient reports and inventory.
• Adheres to the laboratory’s quality control policies; documents all quality control activities, as well as all instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed.
• Follows the laboratory’s policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory’s established, acceptable levels of performance.
• Studies and remains current and knowledgeable with the Laboratory Operating Manual regarding quality assurance, quality control, safety procedures and operating guidelines for performing all assigned laboratory services.
• Holds a comprehensive understanding of and follow all OSHA requirements for safe laboratory operations to maintain a safe laboratory environment.
• Assures quality care by adhering to therapeutic standards; follows practice, physician and laboratory division philosophies, as well as standards of care set by the state and other governing agency regulations.
• Works cooperatively with the Company multidisciplinary teams to provide good patient care and achieves the objectives and goals of the practice.
• Maintains patient confidence and protect operations by keeping all patient and proprietary information confidential. Adheres to signed HIPAA Confidentiality Agreement.
