Job summary

Ivy Fertility in San Diego seeks a highly motivated Andrology and Endocrine Technician to perform semen analysis, semen freezing, IUI preps, and operate the hormone assay machine at two busy fertility centers in Del Mar and Mission Valley.

The role is full-time with weekend and holiday rotation. A high school diploma is required, and a bachelor’s degree in sciences is preferred; prior lab or healthcare experience is a plus as is experience in andrology/endocrine work.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required, and bachelor’s degree in sciences is preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory environment is desired.
• Relevant previous andrology / endocrine experience is a plus.
• Previous healthcare, IVF, or Women’s Health experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Performs semen analysis, semen freezing, and IUI preps.
• Thaw sperm specimens for IUI.
• Manages the daily start-up of the endocrine assay instruments and operates the hormone assay machine.
• Ensure safe handling of specimens by following the safety guidelines of the laboratory.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and calibrations and adhere to quality standards.
• Sets up, calibrates, and cleans laboratory equipment to ensure proper functionality and accuracy.
• Interfaces with our team of Physicians, patients, and fellow laboratory team members.
• Other duties as assigned.
