Job summary

Trimble is seeking an Android Software Engineer (Field Device Telemetry) to join the Mobile Computing Solutions team in Corvallis, OR. You will design and develop Android framework components and telemetry solutions to empower field workers and bridge digital-physical data in challenging environments.

You will own full lifecycle features, contribute to OS updates, and collaborate with cybersecurity experts to enhance device reliability and security in geospatial and construction contexts.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years hands-on Android app development or embedded Linux GUI experience.
• Degree in Software Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Android Framework components and middleware to enhance device productivity.
• Own integration of new functionality for OS updates and quarterly releases.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity experts for threat analysis and mitigation.
• Drive GMS certification by coordinating with third‑party labs.
• Troubleshoot complex system errors in a CI environment and implement fixes.
