Job summary

Snowrelic Inc is seeking an experienced Android OTA integration engineer to join our mobile platform team in the United States. You will integrate the OMA-DM / FOTA client into the Android 16 OTA path and support safe device updates, rollback, and carrier device-management requirements.

The role requires hands-on work with update_engine, A/B updates, and AVB packaging, plus strong Java and C++. You will collaborate with BSP and DM teams to ensure robust OTA campaigns and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Android OTA integration including update_engine and A/B/Virtual A/B flows.
• OMA-DM protocol knowledge: DM Tree, Management Objects, Sessions and FUMO.
• Strong Java and C++ proficiency relevant to OTA and platform services.
• Experience debugging failed updates and recovering bricked devices.

Responsibilities

• Integrate OMA-DM/FOTA client into the Android OTA path.
• Implement A/B or Virtual A/B updates using update_engine with automatic rollback.
• Build campaign hooks between the device and device-maker DM server.
• Implement carrier-required DM behaviors and policy hooks.
• Build full and incremental OTA packages with the BSP team.
• Execute FOTA campaign and rollback regression testing.
• Produce the OTADM evidence pack for carrier submission.
