Job summary

PayPal’s Venmo Commerce team is hiring for Android engineers to design, build, test, and ship high-quality Android experiences. You will develop modern UI with Kotlin and Jetpack Compose, own features end to end, and collaborate with cross-team partners to ensure secure, performant experiences across devices.

Ideal candidates bring production Android experience with Kotlin, MVVM/MVI, Retrofit/OkHttp, and a mindset for observability, experimentation, and high-quality code.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of relevant Android development experience with Kotlin.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with Jetpack Compose and Android architecture patterns.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and ship Android experiences for Venmo Commerce.
• Develop reusable UI using Kotlin and Jetpack Compose within Venmo’s mobile architecture.
• Own features end to end, from design to launch and observability.
• Collaborate with backend/API, payments, identity, risk, analytics, and other teams.
