Job summary

STG Inc Seasonal (Fixed Term) (Seasonal) in Anchorage, AK, is seeking an Expediting Driver to support project operations. You will operate company vehicles to transport materials, load and unload shipments, and assist the Procurement & Logistics team with daily tasks.

The role requires driving in the Anchorage area, safe handling of materials, and adherence to safety policies. This seasonal position involves manual labor and may include weather-driven challenges.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
• One year of experience working with local construction or freight vendors is required.
• One year of experience professional driving in Anchorage area is required.
• Department of Transportation (DOT) medical card required.
• Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) required.
• Valid Alaska driver’s license and must be qualified to operate a vehicle under the conditions of Company’s Driving Policy.
• Ability to pass a drug, driving record, and background screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (pickups, vans, or flatbed trucks up to 1.5 tons) to transport materials, tools, and supplies.
• Follow daily route plans based on project schedules, freight timelines, and operational priorities.
• Pick up and deliver materials from vendors, freight companies, and project sites throughout the Anchorage area.
• Make supply and grocery runs, including purchasing, loading, packing, and delivering items for shipment.
• Serve as courier for internal communications and document deliveries.
• Plan efficient routes to optimize time, fuel, and delivery sequencing.
