Job summary

Emory Physician Group Practices in Georgia seeks an Anatomic Pathologist to provide diagnostic pathology services across surgical pathology, cytopathology, and autopsy specimens.

The role collaborates with clinicians, teaches, participates in tumor boards, and supports quality improvement within a leading academic health system. Board-certified or eligible pathologists with MD or DO and state licensure are desired.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited institution.
• Completion of an accredited residency in Anatomic Pathology.
• Board certification or board eligibility in Anatomic Pathology.
• Eligibility for medical licensure in the applicable state.
• Maintenance of professional certifications and continuing medical education requirements.

Responsibilities

• Examine and interpret surgical pathology specimens and provide accurate reports.
• Evaluate cytology specimens and provide diagnostic consultation.
• Perform gross and microscopic examinations of tissue specimens.
• Utilize ancillary testing including immunohistochemistry and molecular diagnostics.
• Consult with physicians regarding findings and patient management.
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and quality assurance activities.
• Maintain medical records and pathology documentation.
• Engage in education and scholarly activities as appropriate.
