Role overview

Lead the analytics function as a senior or staff-level program lead within a healthcare-focused technology organization. The role owns the analytics product program end-to-end, treating analytics as a first-class product rather than a downstream output. It is a hybrid position that blends people leadership, program ownership, and hands-on individual work, with a clear direction toward self-service and agentic analytics.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of coherent, high-quality, on-time analytics products across multiple solutions, holding the bar for stability, maintainability, and ease of iteration.


• Increase build-and-ship velocity by enforcing and evolving analytics standards, team structures, and AI-assisted ways of working in partnership with data engineering, BI engineering, and product teams.


• Manage solution analytics leads, run day-to-day operations, scope and sequence work across solutions, and keep people unblocked.


• Partner with platform and semantic architecture owners to shape the BI platform and semantic layer that supports both embedded analytics products and the move toward self-service and agentic analytics.


• Stay hands-on as an individual contributor in a domain when the hardest problems require it, to unblock the team and stay aligned with the craft being set as the standard.

Requirements

• Demonstrated program ownership of a technical function, with experience scoping, sequencing, and shipping analytics or data work across multiple parallel workstreams.


• Strong analytical rigor plus hands-on depth in SQL, dbt, modern data warehouses, and BI tooling, enough to do the work yourself and set the standard.


• A systems-builder instinct: turning what works into repeatable processes, standards, and enforcement that run without you.


• Track record of cross-functional influence across teams you do not directly control, with durable working relationships across platform, engineering, and architecture partners.


• Comfort operating in ambiguity and at scale, re-establishing a proven way of working across a broader organization.

Nice to have

• Healthcare domain expertise, including familiarity with operational data, clinical workflows, hospital operations, or healthcare measurement challenges.


• Experience scaling an analytics function at a growing company.


• Familiarity with data or metric governance and semantic-layer concepts where consistency across teams and customer implementations is critical.


• Experience with dbt, Sigma, and knowledge management for documenting metric definitions.


• Exposure to AI-enabled, natural-language, or agentic analytics workflows.
