Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an analytics leader in San Francisco to partner with CS, Commercial, and Partnerships leadership. You will frame and deliver high-impact analyses, own the KPI/reporting suite, and drive AI-enabled analytics initiatives across the organization.

You will mentor teams, scale self-serve analytics capabilities, and collaborate with analytics engineers on reliable data flows and architecture. This role requires SF3-days-per-week onsite presence and healthcare analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent professional experience.
• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst with cross-functional analytic ownership in commercial/product environments.
• Technical depth in SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery).
• Experience delivering strategic analytics to VP+ stakeholders.
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems and present results to challenging stakeholders.

Job description

• Serve as the primary analytical thought partner to CS, Commercial, and Partnerships/HSO leadership
• Own framing, scoping, and delivery of high-impact analyses covering client retention, surgery intent, program expansion, commercial performance, client health, and performance guarantee reporting
• Own and maintain the CS KPI and Bowler reporting suite
• Lead multi-quarter analytical initiatives end-to-end with full autonomy, including Analytics OS, client hub, and retention model initiatives
• Manage complex cross-functional stakeholder relationships and drive alignment on methodology
• Own the Commercial Analytics team's AI and self-service strategy
• Scale the CSM AnswerBot, Data Discovery Agent, and AFTR reporting automation capabilities
• Drive the team's contribution and roadmap within the Analytics OS
• Use AI-assisted tools such as Claude Code and Cursor and contribute to Matik-powered reporting automation
• Own and evolve the commercial dbt data layer and mesh architecture
• Drive CDM enhancements for program-specific modeling and user-level pain reporting
• Partner with analytics engineers and data engineers on reliable reporting data flows and upstream instrumentation
• Communicate data architecture, statistical methodology, and pipeline issues to technical and non-technical audiences
• Improve team capability through documentation, knowledge transfer, coaching, and shared practices
• Mentor through design reviews, analytical critique, and pairing

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field or equivalent professional experience
• 3+ years of experience as a data analyst with a track record of owning complex, cross-functional analytical work in a commercial or product environment
• Technical depth in SQL, Python, and cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent
• Experience delivering strategic analytical work to VP+ stakeholders
• Ability to frame ambiguous problems, develop methodology under uncertainty, and present results to challenging stakeholders
• Ability to drive organizational alignment on data definitions, methodology, or reporting strategy across CS, Product, and engineering stakeholders without formal authority
• Deep healthcare industry knowledge, including clinical, payer, provider, or digital health experience
• Ability to work from the San Francisco office 3 days per week for full 8-hour business days
• Located in or willing to relocate to the San Francisco Bay Area
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Preferred: experience as a dedicated AI champion on an analytics team
• Preferred: experience building or leading self-service analytics platforms
• Preferred: history of mentoring analysts and raising team capability
• Preferred: experience in lean, high-ownership teams
