Job summary

Fanatics seeks a hands-on Analytics Manager within the Strategic Operations & Analytics team in Los Angeles. You will lead a small team of analysts, write and review SQL and dbt models, and own cross-functional initiatives end-to-end.

You will mentor 2–3 analysts, set technical standards, partner with central data teams, and advance an AI-enabled analytics agenda while ensuring reliable data and actionable insights for CX, Fraud, Payments, and VIP.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in analytics, BI, data analytics, or strategic operations.
• 2+ years directly managing analysts as direct reports.
• Advanced SQL with hands-on writing, QA, and optimization.
• Fluent with dbt: building and reviewing models.
• Experience owning complex cross-functional projects end-to-end.
• Experience building dashboards in Sigma, Tableau, or similar tools.
• Strong stakeholder management and clear communication to senior leaders.
• Attention to data quality and governance.

Responsibilities

• Personally lead complex, cross-functional analytical initiatives end-to-end from ambiguous business problem to stakeholder-ready recommendation.
• Diagnose root causes in the data and translate the diagnosis into concrete recommendations.
• Lead scenario analysis and impact sizing for product initiatives, operational changes, and staffing decisions.
• Set standards for Ops dashboards and reporting with clear KPIs and documented assumptions.
• Present findings to operational stakeholders and senior leadership, defending methodology.
