Job summary

Texas Sports Academy is seeking an Academic Coach to bridge analytics and student coaching. You’ll transform messy performance data into actionable plans and work directly with students via video to close gaps.

Responsibilities include end-to-end student outcomes, rapid coaching sessions, and collaboration with academic leaders and parents to refine tools and processes. Remote role open globally.

Qualifications

• Coaching or instructional background with documented impact.
• Hands-on K-8 student experience.
• Analytical background in data science, education, EdTech, or student support.
• Strong Google Sheets proficiency: lookups, filters, pivots, charts.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• High emotional intelligence with students and parents.
• AI fluency with tools to analyze data or automate workflows.
• Ownership mindset with real accountability for outcomes.
• Remote-ready setup and availability during U.S. Central Time.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student performance data and create actionable reports using Google Sheets and AI.
• Own academic outcomes for an assigned group of students, including placement and testing decisions.
• Run rapid academic rescue sessions to diagnose and resolve blockers in real time.
• Conduct post-test coaching to identify knowledge gaps and set next steps.
• Coach students directly with honest, constructive feedback.
• Collaborate with academic leaders and parents to improve tools and processes.
