Job summary

Texas Sports Academy is seeking an Academic Coach who blends data analytics with direct student coaching to drive academic outcomes. You’ll transform raw performance data into clear, timely actions, then sit with students to implement targeted improvements.

Expect weekly rapid coaching, post-assessments, and collaboration with leaders and families. You’ll work remotely with a global student base, using Google Sheets and AI tools to accelerate insights.

Qualifications

• At least one year in a coaching, instructional, or training role with measurable impact.
• At least one year working directly with 3rd-12th grade students.
• Experience in data science, education, EdTech, or student support with analysis and interpersonal work.
• Strong skills in Google Sheets: lookups, filters, pivot tables, charts.
• Excellent written and spoken English, warm and professional.
• High emotional intelligence for building trust with students and parents.
• Experience using AI tools to analyze data or automate workflows.
• Ownership mindset: accountable for outcomes without hand-offs.

Responsibilities

• Analyze student performance data to create actionable academic reports.
• Own outcomes for an assigned group of students, including placement decisions.
• Run rapid academic rescue sessions to diagnose blockers in real time.
• Conduct post-test coaching to distinguish knowledge gaps from mistakes.
• Coach students directly with honest feedback and high expectations.
• Collaborate with academic leaders and parents to improve tools and processes.
