Job summary

Perform Properties, a Blackstone Real Estate portfolio company, seeks an Analytics Engineer in Chicago to turn raw, multi-source data into trusted, well‑modeled datasets used by Investments, Portfolio, Operations and Finance. This hands‑on role sits between Data Engineering and Analytics, owns the transformation layer, and reports to the Vice President, Data & Analytics; office‑based, five days a week.

You will build data transformation layers to deliver clean, stakeholder‑ready information,

Qualifications

• 5+ years building data models and pipelines in analytics/BI roles.
• Advanced SQL and DBT proficiency.
• Experience with modern data warehouses (Databricks, Snowflake, BigQuery, RedShift).
• Experience with cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or GCP).
• Experience with cloud-hosted data visualization tooling.
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling and CI/CD for analytics.
• Strong requirements gathering and stakeholder management.
• Ability to translate business questions into durable data models.

Responsibilities

• Build data transformation layers delivering clean information to data warehouse.
• Shift measurement decisions to silver and gold data layers.
• Enable recurring, exploratory, and self-service reporting.
• Ensure data quality with lineage, automated checks, and clear definitions.
• Support data governance and stakeholder engagement.
• Model the use of AI leveraging data model outputs.
