Job summary

Cars Commerce is seeking an Analytics Engineer to revitalize our data services and tooling across the platform. You will own the semantic layer, data catalog, and self-service BI tooling, delivering scalable and secure data products for business users.

You will collaborate with BI, Data Warehouse, Data Science, and ML teams to drive performance improvements, governance, and cost efficiency in production. This is a build-from-ground-up role with broad ownership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering or platform engineering with production data infrastructure ownership.
• Deep Amazon Redshift performance tuning and cost awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Own semantic layer infrastructure, data catalog, and self-service analytics tooling.
• Lead platform deployment, performance tuning, and cost governance across data stack.
• Collaborate with BI, Data Warehouse, Data Science, and ML teams to enable data products.
• Ensure uptime, observability, monitoring, and robust security and access controls.
• Oversee tool migrations, governance policies, and RFP evaluations for new tech.
