Job summary

MLG Capital in Wisconsin is seeking an Analytics Engineer to bridge analytics, BI development, and data engineering. You will help move data from sources to insight, shaping analytics-ready models and enabling dashboards across the firm.

You will partner with the BI Developer and Data Engineer to improve throughput, scale pipelines, and support future AI and predictive analytics within a growing, SEC-compliant real estate platform.

Qualifications

• 3–6 years of experience in data, BI, analytics, or analytics engineering roles.
• Strong SQL skills and experience with structured datasets, transformations, and performance-conscious queries.
• Hands-on experience with Power BI including dashboard/report development and data modeling concepts.
• Working knowledge of cloud data platforms and modern data workflows, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Experience in ETL/ELT, data pipelines, orchestration tools, or backend data operations.
• Understanding of dimensional modeling, semantic modeling, and analytics engineering concepts.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve analytics-ready datasets, transformations, and data models to support reporting and downstream analysis.
• Support data pipelines, ETL/ELT workflows, and automation within Microsoft ecosystems.
• Collaborate with the BI Developer to develop and maintain Power BI dashboards and semantic models.
• Work with the Data Engineer to troubleshoot data issues and scale core enterprise data architecture.
• Translate business requirements into technical definitions, data definitions, and implementation plans.
• Contribute to data quality, governance, lineage, and documentation to improve trust and maintainability.
