Job summary

Vertex Service Partners is seeking an Analytics Engineer, Business Solutions to bridge how our brands operate with the data models, dashboards, and internal applications built to support them. You will partner with FP&A, Marketing, Operations, and the Data & AI Engineering team to transform ambiguous business problems into trusted analytics solutions, lightweight applications, and automation opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, BI Analyst, Business Analyst, or Analytics Engineer.
• Strong SQL skills with experience building data models from business requirements.
• Experience developing data models using dbt or the ability to quickly learn modern data transformation frameworks.
• Experience building dashboards in Sigma or comparable BI platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or Looker.
• Experience building lightweight internal applications using AI-assisted coding tools.
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, and collaborative software development practices.
• Strong analytical thinking and business curiosity with the ability to validate data against operational reality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business solutions.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, and entrepreneurial environment.
• Strong critical thinking, adaptability, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Business Partnership & Intake: Serve as the primary point of contact for data and BI requests from FP&A, Marketing, Operations, and stakeholders.
• Dashboard Development & Insights: Build and maintain dashboards and analytic reporting for actionable insights.
• Data Modeling: Develop gold-layer data models using dbt and SQL from business requirements.
• Internal Application Development: Build lightweight internal applications using AI-assisted development tools and CI/CD practices.
• Business Process Automation: Identify manual workflows and implement lightweight automation solutions.
• Business Validation: Validate data and reporting against operational source systems like ServiceTitan.
• Requirements Translation: Turn ambiguous requests into clearly defined technical requirements.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify AI, automation, and reusable logic to reduce manual work.
