CurbWaste is building a data and analytics function from the ground up in New York City. We are seeking an Analytics Engineer to own dashboards, data models, and data infrastructure in collaboration with engineering and business teams.

This foundational role focuses on turning data into actionable insights across operations, finance, and product. You will shape our data architecture, prepare data for AI features, and drive decisions with stakeholders across the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's in a quantitative field and strong academic record.
• 4+ years of experience with the modern data stack (cloud data warehouse, transformation layer, BI tool).
• Deep SQL expertise with the ability to write complex queries and model data.
• Demonstrated grit, resourcefulness, and ability to work in high-growth environments.
• Strong communication skills to translate data into actionable business recommendations.
• Self-directed and proactive attitude with a mission-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and own dashboards, reports, and self-serve analytics driving company decisions.
• Partner with engineering to design and implement the data warehouse and BI stack.
• Define key metrics and data models for operational and financial performance.
• Prepare datasets powering AI and machine learning initiatives.
• Work cross-functionally with product, ops, finance, and engineering to deliver insights.
• Establish data quality standards and documentation as a foundation for a future data team.
