Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group seeks an Analytics Engineer to join its Data Platform team. You will own the full data path from ingestion through modeling to visualization, enabling trusted analytics for venue GMs, finance leads, and AI agents.

You will work with Snowflake, dbt, Fivetran, and ThoughtSpot to build semantic layers, dashboards, and conversational analytics while ensuring governance and data quality.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in analytics engineering, data engineering, or BI development.
• Strong SQL and production dbt modeling experience.
• Experience with a cloud data warehouse (Snowflake).
• Experience with ELT ingestion tools like Fivetran and troubleshooting schema changes.
• Understanding of data modeling: dimensional models and grain.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and venue teams to turn needs into trusted models.
• Own ingestion for your domains; set up Fivetran connectors and manage schema drift.
• Build dbt models across bronze, silver, and gold and shape gold to CHG needs.
• Define the semantic layer with metrics, dimensions, and relationships.
• Develop ThoughtSpot models and Liveboards for self-service analytics.
• Maintain data quality, governance, and regression tests with dbt tests.
• Monitor freshness and pipeline health to keep answers fast.
