Job summary

Convene Hospitality Group in the United States is seeking a hands-on Data Platform Lead to own the data platform end-to-end, from architecture to the BI layer, and to manage the analytics engineers who build on it. Data platform modernization and AI-first development are top priorities, and this role sits at the center of both, working closely with product engineers.

Today we run Snowflake, dbt, and Fivetran.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering, analytics engineering or data architecture in production.
• 2+ teams experience and ability to lead.
• Proven data platform modernization with Snowflake/dbt.

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform end to end: architecture, reliability, and roadmap.
• Model the business with domain-oriented marts.
• Collaborate with finance, sales, and ops to translate questions into models.
• Partner with product engineering on schema design and data contracts.
• Ensure data quality, observability, and governance across analytics and AI.
• Lead and grow analytics engineers and contractors.
