Job summary

ALS is seeking a Professional Scientist to process and analyze samples using Agilent GC, GC-MS, and LC/MS. The role includes instrument maintenance and developing modifications to procedures, ensuring QA and timely turnaround.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of lab experience, with strong communication and data-handling skills. Applicants should be detail-oriented and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant science field.
• Laboratory experience of 1+ years preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with instrument data collection and LIMS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze samples using Agilent GC and GC-MS or LC/MS.
• Meet calibration and QA requirements.
• Document activities and report results clearly.
• Operate within quality control and turnaround times.
• Collaborate with analysts and technicians.
• Report quality issues to QA or supervisor.
• Assist in preparing standards, reagents, and solutions.
• Maintain safe, clean work areas and follow SOPs.
