Job summary

AbbVie Analytical Research & Development is seeking an Associate Scientist II to design and execute analytical method validation, generating precise, reliable data for preclinical and clinical programs. You will collaborate with PCS, Process Chemistry, Process Engineering, DPD, QA, and CMC-Regulatory to support development efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with typically 3+ years of experience or Master’s degree with no additional experience.
• Theoretical and practical knowledge in chromatography and/or spectroscopy is highly preferred.
• Builds strong relationships with peers and cross-functional partners to enable higher performance.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and perform routine tasks within a timely fashion and generate precise results.
• Demonstrate experimental precision and data interpretation; understand core discipline.
• Document activities and results in a GMP compliant fashion using electronic data systems.
• Analyze and critique results, noting significant deviations from expected outcomes.
• Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
• Learn new techniques and apply them to project requirements.
• Demonstrate proficiency in multiple techniques and modify protocols as needed.
• Place data in scientific context by citing relevant literature.
• Demonstrate technical proficiency in analytical areas, quantitative and instrumental analysis.
• Raise the bar and drive progress beyond the status quo.
• Impact projects through lab and pilot plant activities.
