Job summary

AbbVie Inc. is seeking an Associate Scientist II to join the method validation team. You will design and execute validation studies, generate accurate data, and ensure timely delivery in support of drug substance and product development.

Collaboration with global R&D partners and QA is essential. The role requires a Bachelor’s in chemistry (or equivalent) with 3+ years of experience, or a Master’s degree, and knowledge of chromatography or spectroscopy is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or analytical chemistry with 3+ years of experience, or Master’s degree with relevant experience.
• Experience with method validation and analytical method development in drug substance/product.
• Familiarity with GMP, QA, and regulatory expectations.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan and perform routine analytical method validation tasks.
• Generate precise, reliable data and interpret results.
• Document activities in GMP-compliant electronic systems.
• Collaborate with PCS, Process Chemistry, and QA to support development.
• Troubleshoot instruments and optimize analytical protocols.
