AbbVie Analytical Research & Development (Analytical R&D) is seeking an Associate Scientist II to generate precise, reliable data independently for preclinical and clinical programs. You will contribute to the degradation pathway understanding of small molecules and peptide therapeutics, collaborating across global teams and ensuring GMP-compliant documentation.

The role emphasizes hands-on analytical work, data interpretation, and applying core discipline knowledge to support early phase

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in chemistry with 3+ years of experience or a Master’s degree in Analytical Chemistry.
Experience with HPLC and basic troubleshooting, method optimization.
Familiarity with GMP and electronic data acquisition/management systems.
Strong organizational and communication skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Independently plan and perform routine tasks and generate precise results.
Demonstrate experimental precision and data interpretation.
Document experiments in a GMP-compliant manner using electronic systems.
Analyze results and identify deviations from expected outcomes.
Troubleshoot experiments and instrumentation.
Learn new techniques for project requirements.
Demonstrate proficiency across analytical techniques and adapt protocols as needed.
Contextualize data with literature references.
Maintain safety and quality standards in line with GxP.
