Job summary

Plansee Group USA in Towanda, PA is seeking a Materials Analysis Laboratory technician to analyze production, R&D and raw material samples. You will calibrate and maintain analytical instrumentation, develop analytical techniques, and ensure safety and quality compliance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires chemistry knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to train others as needed. Evening/weekend shifts may be required; SAP and LEAN principles apply.

Qualifications

• Analytical chemistry concepts and lab skills.
• Ability to use chemistry and math to improve processes.
• Familiarity with safety and hazardous materials handling.
• Knowledge of basic lab practices and instrumentation operation.

Responsibilities

• Receive and process samples and select test methods.
• Maintain quality and dynamic cycle times (DCT) in the lab.
• Update SPC data, error logs, maintenance logs, and inventories.
• Maintain and troubleshoot analytical instrumentation with manufacturer support.
• Develop and improve analytical techniques for applications.
• Assist with trace element analysis in waste disposal per DEP guidelines.
• Support weekend coverage and flexible scheduling as needed.
