Global Tungsten & Powders (GTP) in Towanda, PA, seeks a skilled analyst for its Materials Analysis Laboratory. You will analyze samples, calibrate and maintain analytical instruments, and ensure compliance with ISO17025 and LEAN practices. The role emphasizes accuracy, safety, and continuous improvement in a high-speed lab environment.

The position requires chemistry knowledge, the ability to research improvements, and willingness to train others. Weekend support may be required; U.S.

Competenze

• Associate degree in Chemistry or equivalent; lab experience preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Chemistry or equivalent is beneficial.
• Knowledge of chemical hazards and safe handling procedures.
• Experience following ISO17025 or similar accreditation policies.

Mansioni

• Receive and process samples to identify suitability and determine test methods.
• Follow laboratory specifications to complete tests in a timely manner.
• Maintain quality and cycle times within the department.
• Update SPC data, error logs, maintenance logs, and lab inventories.
• Instrument maintenance and troubleshooting with manufacturer assistance.
• Develop and improve analytical techniques using chemical knowledge.
• Train and instruct employees to analyze samples and complete work assignments.
• Support weekend operations as required.
