Job summary

Materion is seeking a Lab Analyst II in the Newton, MA area to prepare samples, perform analytical testing, and manage data within the AS9100D quality system. The role reports to the Senior Analytical Chemist or Analytical Lab Manager, with duties including training, instrument analyses (ICP-OES, GDMS, IGA, etc.), and maintaining procedures and safety standards.

Requirements include a STEM-focused degree (or equivalent experience), strong attention to detail, and proficiency in Excel and SAP.

Qualifications

• Prefer two- or four-year STEM degree.
• High school diploma or GED with 5+ years analytical lab experience.
• Proficiency in Excel and SAP.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sample preparation and instrumental analysis per SOPs.
• Record data accurately and maintain QMS documentation.
• Train other lab personnel as required.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment; handle bulk acids.
