Job summary

Dow Chemical in Illinois seeks an Associate Analytical Technician to support manufacturing by conducting laboratory analyses and preparing samples. You will maintain instrumentation, report results to production personnel, and follow SOPs and analytical methods.

The role requires basic lab skills and adherence to EH&S and ODMS policies. Preferred candidates hold an Associate's degree or higher in chemistry, with 2+ years of lab experience and knowledge of gravimetric, volumetric, and temperature

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour, rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• U.S. work authorization; no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision.
• Collects samples per the Sample Plan.
• Performs basic preventive maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluates data validity for routine analyses.
• Monitors analytical systems and escalates issues.
• Documents and archives analytical results and data.
• Follows EH&S and ODMS procedures.
• Suggests improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Escalates non-routine requests for follow-up.
• Performs lab housekeeping and processes shipping paperwork.
