Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Analytical Technician in Kankakee, IL to support manufacturing operations through laboratory analyses, sample preparation, and instrument maintenance. You will report results to production personnel and follow standard procedures for routine lab activities.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, willingness to rotate 12-hour shifts, overtime as needed, and legal eligibility to work in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Willingness to work 12-hour rotating shifts.
• Willingness to work overtime as needed.
• Must be legally eligible to work in the United States; no visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Trains to perform routine analyses under supervision until proficient.
• Collects samples according to the Sample Plan.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance of analytical systems.
• Evaluate data validity for routine analyses and take appropriate action.
• Monitor analytical systems and escalate problems as needed.
• Document and archive analytical results and data.
• Follow EH&S and ODMS procedures for tasks.
• Suggest improvements to lab processes and tools.
• Process shipping paperwork as required.
